It gives people an opportunity to understand that the work they do every day matters and that their individual contributions become part of the finished project. I think it encourages my team by recognizing their hard work and giving them a sense of pride in what we’re building. I want my guys to be able to walk through this building when it’s finished and say, “I helped build that.” That kind of ownership creates accountability, pride, and a stronger team.
